Perfect for younger children or families wanting a shorter, guided introduction while still maintaining education and calm interaction.

Both options are intentionally designed to be child-led, respectful, and stress-free for both children, parents  and animals.

Miniature Donkey Experiences: Gentle, Curious & Confidence-Building

Our Miniature Donkey of Burclair experiences are a favourite for younger children and parents — and for good reason.

Miniature donkeys are calm, affectionate, and incredibly intuitive. They move slowly, respond gently, and offer children a safe way to build confidence around animals.

What Children and Familes Learn With the Miniature Donkeys

During these guided learning sessions, children:

• Learn how to approach donkeys quietly and confidently

• Brush, feed, and lead them gently

• Understand basic animal care and routines

• Develop patience, empathy, and responsibility

For many children, this is their first experience leading an animal — a huge confidence boost that stays with them.
